Public tracking policies

Clear rules for a private, customer-safe tracker.

These policies explain what Trackit shows, what it protects and how the public service should be used.

Privacy

Public tracking protects personal information.

Trackit is designed to show only customer-safe shipment milestones. Public results do not include customer names, phone numbers, email addresses, street addresses, payment information, package values, internal notes or staff identities.

A complete tracking number is required for an exact-match lookup. Missing, expired and non-trackable shipments receive the same general response so the service does not reveal whether a private shipment record exists.

Tracking information

Statuses are clear public summaries.

Shipment statuses and timeline descriptions are sanitised summaries intended to help customers understand progress. They do not expose internal warehouse, financial, customs or operational wording.

Estimated arrival dates may change as a shipment progresses. A displayed estimate is guidance, not a guarantee of delivery or collection on that date.

Acceptable use

Use tracking only for shipments you are authorised to view.

Do not automate large numbers of lookups, attempt partial tracking-number searches, probe for shipment records or interfere with the availability and security of the service.

Hobort may limit requests that appear abusive or place the public tracking service at risk.
